First signs of fall on Wahclella Falls trail

While the summer is still trying to hold back and I'm trying to cling to its warmth, it seems that fall is definitely approaching. The nature feels that as well and last weekend I've ventured back to Wahclella Falls trail looking for the first signs of fall colors.

The falls is green as always (even in winter - unless there's snow or ice).

But the surroundings down river are definitely changing colors to gold and red.

At the same time the nearby trail of Elowah is still in lush green.
